EXPERIENCE

Gena has been inspiring and empowering others to be their best selves for the past 8 years through many mentoring opportunities and consulting of clients. Gena developed her own resilient qualities through years of struggle to build a positive self image, confidence and success as a leader in her own career. After nearly 18 years of working in marketing communications and brand management for the entertainment, retail and consumer products industries and after owning her own successful marketing communications agency for 7 years, Gena decided to take all the knowledge she has learned and formed True Synergy, a professional coaching and consulting boutique, in 2010.

EDUCATION

She is a graduate of the University of Southern California, with a BA in Communication Arts & Sciences, and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Phoenix. She received her coaching training and certification from the Certified Coaching Federation.  Gena is also a Coach Training Alliance member.

ENJOYMENT

Gena’s personal time is spent in Los Angeles, where she likes traveling, spa-days, reading, writing and spending time with family, friends and her lovable Shih Tzu, Foster. Gena is also a dedicated volunteer to such organizations as the Taproot Foundation, Toastmasters International, USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and USC’s Black Alumni Association’s Legacy Through Leadership Committee.
